Continuing on my spiritual journey to visit every church in my city, I felt a strong pull from the Holy Spirit to venture to New Wine Church, situated across the street from Lynchburg City Stadium.

This momentous visit marked the 50th stop on this humbling journey, and despite the dreary weather, my heart was filled with eager anticipation as I ventured forth to uncover the divine blessings awaiting me on this rainy day.

Stepping into the welcoming embrace of New Wine Church, my daughter and I were greeted with open arms and genuine warmth.

The atmosphere radiated hospitality, with members extending heartfelt invitations to partake in an array of culinary delights, including delectable pastries, fresh fruits, and an assortment of coffee and teas.

The act of hospitality mirrored the church’s mission of love, and to lead people into a transformative relationship with Jesus Christ.

Engaging in real and heartfelt conversations with Joshua and Bibiana, who graciously shared the rich history of the church, was truly enlightening.

They recounted the humble beginnings of New Wine Church, which originated as a small home-based gathering before blossoming into a thriving spiritual community.

Their stories painted a vivid picture of an environment where individuals of all ages can flourish in their journey with Christ, no matter who or where you are.

As I interacted with the children in the Sanctuary, their contagious enthusiasm for the fellowship and, of course, the snacks, brought a smile to my face.

Their joy served as a beautiful reminder of the simple yet profound joys found in community and our shared faith experiences.

The worship experience at New Wine Church was nothing short of extraordinary, with the talented worship team leading the congregation in soul-stirring renditions of beloved contemporary worship songs.

The spirited rendition of “Break Every Chain” echoed through the sanctuary, filling the space with an atmosphere of praise and celebration, with all of the children singing the lyrics loudly with pure excitement and joy.

Before the sermon, we were led in a heartfelt prayer, setting the stage for Pastor and Dr. Haniel Singh to deliver a sermon that spoke to many, including myself.

With a unique blend of humor and profound insight, Pastor Singh’s message pierced through the layers of my heart, challenging me to reexamine my perspective on eternal life and refocus my gaze on the unchanging truth of Jesus Christ.

His impassioned plea to stop elevating people and instead fix our gaze on Jesus served as a powerful reminder of where true fulfillment and purpose lie.

It was an experience that left an unforgettable impression on my soul, igniting a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to my own journey.
