Today, my heart overflowed with joy as I stepped through the welcoming doors of Marsh Memorial Church, marking church number 103 on this incredible, Spirit-led journey of visiting every church in our city.
Each visit has touched my life in unique and wonderful ways, but today’s experience filled me with a renewed sense of warmth, community, and divine purpose.
From the very moment I entered the church, I felt enveloped in love, greeted warmly by a congregation radiating genuine kindness and heartfelt compassion.
The hugs, smiles, and gentle words of encouragement spoke deeply to my soul, creating an atmosphere of safety and acceptance.
I was instantly reminded why I cherish this journey so much, God continues to bless me with beautiful, loving souls who help heal my heart one encounter at a time.
Three gracious ladies…Jessica, Gail, and Martha, made an unforgettable impression on me, ensuring I felt right at home.
Their sincere warmth, laughter, and caring spirits epitomized the close-knit family atmosphere at Marsh Memorial Church.
Before the service began, I enjoyed meaningful conversations during a lovely fellowship time that included delightful refreshments of cookies, crackers, dip, and coffee.
Although, by the grace of God, I managed to resist those tempting cookies, the interactions and joyful conversations nourished my heart more than any treat could.
Meeting Pastor Bill was another highlight of my day; his kindness, compassion, and genuine care were palpable.
He took the time to hear my testimony and offer encouragement, making me feel valued and supported.
It was clear that he deeply loves his congregation and shepherds them with authenticity and grace.
As the service began, we were treated to the beautiful musical gifts of an exceptionally talented pianist whose name, unfortunately, I didn’t catch.
His effortless, refined playing lifted our spirits heavenward, filling the sanctuary with an atmosphere of reverence and peace.
The worship experience was further enhanced by a lovely blend of contemporary praise music and classic hymns, beautifully led by two gifted vocalists.
My heart particularly resonated with the hymns “All Glory, Laud and Honor,” and “Hosanna, Loud Hosanna,” perfectly capturing the joyous and reflective spirit of Palm Sunday.
Prayer was a cornerstone of this service, and it moved me deeply to witness how passionately this church prays for one another and for our world.
Reciting the Lord’s Prayer together as a unified body filled me with a profound sense of connectedness and love, reminding me yet again why this journey is such a precious gift.
The Gospel reading from Luke 19:28-40 beautifully set the stage for Pastor Bill’s powerful sermon titled “The Shouting Stones.”
His thoughtful words spoke directly to my heart, affirming the importance of living out our Christian faith authentically.
Pastor Bill challenged us gently yet firmly to not merely claim Christianity in words alone, but to truly embody it through our actions, our love for others, and our humility.
He reminded us that all we have belongs to God, including ourselves, and that we should live lives of gratitude rather than covetousness.
His message affirmed a truth that my soul needed today: the boundless love of God surpasses everything we can imagine.
As I left Marsh Memorial Church, my heart was full.
I will forever treasure the love, grace, and kindness I received today.
The relationships forged, the prayers shared, and the encouraging conversations had left a special mark on my soul.
Marsh Memorial Church, thank you for welcoming me into your beautiful family with open arms; your impact on my life will remain with me always, and I look forward to staying connected in faith and friendship.
Each step of this journey reinforces just how deeply blessed I am, and how much I genuinely love exploring the incredible church families across our city.
I am eagerly anticipating where the Holy Spirit will guide me next, knowing each stop continues to transform and heal my heart.
