This morning, with praise in my heart and gratitude in my spirit, I continued on this extraordinary journey the Lord has set before me.
Though my body is still recovering from bronchitis and a flu-like illness, my soul is strong, because the joy of the Lord is my strength.
Even in times when I cannot physically gather in person, I’m reminded powerfully today that the presence of Jesus meets us right where we are, even in the quiet of our living rooms.
God’s grace is not limited by the walls of a church; it reaches deep into the quiet spaces of our homes, our hearts, and our lives.
Today, I was profoundly blessed to join Madison Heights Baptist Church, marking my 105th church visit on this incredible, life-changing journey of faith.
Initially, the service faced some technical difficulties, leaving the audio silent for the first twenty-five minutes. And isn’t that how life sometimes feels?
Moments when it seems God’s voice is silent, times when we cannot hear Him clearly.
But I am so glad I persisted, stayed patient, and waited… because just as I was ready, the sound returned, bringing with it the beautiful voices of the choir singing out:
“Thank You, Jesus, for loving me.”
At that moment, tears filled my eyes as my heart echoed those very words.
Despite all the trials, hardships, sickness, and setbacks, my heart overflows with gratitude for the simple gift of life, the precious breath in my lungs, given freely by our Savior.
Truly, thank You, Jesus, for loving me.
Pastor Josh delivered a powerful and deeply touching sermon this morning as we continue to celebrate the glory and wonder of Easter and the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior.
Today’s message opened my eyes and heart to a fresh perspective, focusing on the courageous women at the heart of the Resurrection story.
Pastor Josh illuminated beautifully how God lifts up and affirms both men and women, calling them into leadership, ministry, and faithful service.
It was inspiring and deeply encouraging to hear him emphasize the faithfulness and steadfastness of Mary Magdalene, a woman whose dedication, strength, and courage continues to inspire generations.
Mary Magdalene was a stalwart of faith, a symbol of devotion and trust.
The Bible shows us clearly that she stood faithfully by Jesus, even when others fled or doubted. Pastor Josh challenged us to truly consider, would it be like to embrace Jesus?
To physically hold onto Him…
Can you imagine the feeling of peace, the unexplainable joy of holding onto the risen Christ?
Mary Magdalene’s life was profound, and yet, Scripture does not share the full story of her journey after Easter morning.
What we do have, however, is a powerful legacy of faithfulness, an example set for us by a woman who was willing to go wherever Christ led her.
Pastor Josh reminded us that Mary’s true power was not in titles or earthly recognition but in her willingness to faithfully follow Jesus, whether her role seemed major or minor, whether she stood in seen or unseen places.
Her life teaches us that the real measure of our significance lies in our faithfulness in advancing God’s Kingdom and uplifting others.
Like Mary Magdalene, we must invest in those around us, building them up, and supporting those who God has placed in our lives to nurture and lead.
Jesus, our Savior, was also a teacher, He invested in those around Him, patiently shaping and guiding His disciples. Mary Magdalene modeled this same Christ-like spirit by faithfully investing in people, supporting potential leaders, and nurturing the growth of those who surrounded her.
Her story compels us to ask ourselves: Are we faithfully investing in those around us?
Are we willing to serve humbly, to speak boldly when God commands, and to remain steadfast, even in times of silence, pain, or uncertainty?
Because Mary Magdalene was faithful, generations after her have found courage and strength in her example.
And today, because of her legacy, we are reminded that our faithfulness can echo through eternity, impacting lives beyond our own lifetime.
Friends, this journey is more than visiting churches, it’s a powerful testimony to the faithfulness and grace of God.
Even when facing sickness and difficulty, I see God’s fingerprints guiding my steps, lifting my spirits, and revealing fresh revelations of His love and purpose.
Just as Mary Magdalene’s story challenges us to embrace faithfulness, I too feel challenged to pursue Christ with renewed determination, humility, and gratitude.
Thank you, Madison Heights Baptist Church, for this powerful, encouraging reminder that Jesus sees, values, and uses each of us, men and women alike, to build His Kingdom and share His love.
May we all embrace the faithful spirit of Mary Magdalene, trusting that our willingness to follow Christ’s lead will create lasting impact.
I cannot wait to see where the Holy Spirit will guide my steps next week.
Until then, may we all hold onto the profound and simple truth that echoed through today’s message:
Thank You, Jesus, for loving me.
