Faith Alliance Church

7808 Timberlake Road Lynchburg, VA

I walked through the open doors of Faith Alliance Church, marking the 109th blessed milestone on this incredible journey of visiting every church in our beloved city.

From the moment I arrived, the presence of God was unmistakable, like an open invitation, a gentle whisper reminding me that He is our Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides.

As I stepped inside, the melody of “Jireh” softly playing filled my soul with peace. It was as though God was reassuring my heart: “Child, whatever you need, I will provide.”

Immediately, the warmth of this congregation enveloped me.

Janet greeted me with the kind of genuine hug that speaks of true Christian fellowship, while Alan offered a welcoming conversation filled with sincere care. Brothers and sisters, we need more of that in our world, unconditional love, genuine fellowship, and hearts that reach out to one another with Christ-like compassion.

One conversation in particular touched my heart deeply today.

Elder Daniel Khouri shared his passion for upholding the integrity and truth of God’s Word. He reminded me how crucial it is that we remain steadfast, never compromising the purity of Scripture. Indeed, a church that stands on God’s Word is built on an unshakable foundation. This dedication to truth is what makes Faith Alliance Church so special and so alive in the Spirit.

Though their Lead Pastor was traveling, God in His divine wisdom appointed a guest speaker, Umwami Ndenga, to deliver a message that my heart desperately needed.

Umwami powerfully preached from 2 Corinthians 9:10-12, declaring, “He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.”

His sermon posed a profound and convicting question: How do we live to give?

As he expounded on these sacred scriptures, my heart was stirred deeply.

We were reminded that generosity extends far beyond the offering plate. True generosity is in how we share love with those who feel unlovable, how we extend forgiveness when bitterness tempts us, how we grant patience even in trials, and above all, how boldly and joyfully we share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the world.

Friends, each one of us has received abundantly from the Lord.

Everything we have, every breath we draw, every beat of our hearts… is a gift from God Himself.

Are we using these gifts to magnify the name of Jesus?

Are we sowing generously into the lives around us, reflecting His infinite generosity and love?

For truly, the name of Jesus is the only name worthy of praise, the only name worthy of being proclaimed, the only name through which we find salvation and peace.

As Pastor Ndenga declared with passion, “There is nothing in our lives that God has not provided.” I felt the weight and beauty of that truth deep within me.

God’s provision is all-encompassing. He provides not just for our physical needs, but also grace for our spiritual journeys, mercy in our failures, and unfathomable love that never fails.

How then can we withhold anything from Him?

Let’s open our hearts wide, live generously, and give freely of everything He has graciously bestowed upon us.

Following the service, I was kindly invited to stay for lunch and fellowship.

Sharing a meal with my newfound family at Faith Alliance Church was yet another vivid reminder of the community we share in Christ. What a blessed privilege it is to break bread together, nourishing not only our bodies but also our souls.

I give thanks to God for guiding me here today.

Faith Alliance Church exemplifies the faith and genuine love that mark the true family of God. I wholeheartedly encourage you to visit and experience this warmth, this genuine fellowship, and above all, the unchanging truth of God’s Word.

My heart remains deeply grateful for every step of this journey, a journey that has healed, shaped, and transformed me more profoundly than I ever imagined.

I eagerly anticipate what God has next, trusting His perfect plan.

Wherever the Spirit leads, I will follow, praising Him continually for His faithfulness.

To God be all honor, glory, and praise, forever and ever. Amen.
