Apostolics of Lynchburg Church

2712 Old Forest Road, Lynchburg VA

Embarking on my spiritual journey to visit every church in my city, a mission inspired and gently guided by the Holy Spirit, I found myself at the doors of Apostolics of Lynchburg Church.

This visit, a significant milestone as the 36th church on my sacred journey, led me to a haven of love, healing, and hope… in the heart of our Lynchburg community.

From the moment I stepped onto the church grounds, a sense of profound compassion and kindness enveloped me, instantly making me feel welcomed and cherished.

The warm welcome I received upon entering was so encouraging.

Michelle Jones, the pastor’s wife, greeted me with a kind and nurturing presence. I also met Carina and Cara, who lovingly took time to answer my questions about their church, sharing insights and stories that painted a beautiful picture of their church family.

Their warmth set the tone for my entire visit.

In the sanctuary, I was greeted by Associate Pastor Daniel and the Worship Team leader. Both were incredibly welcoming, adding to the sense of belonging I already felt.

I arrived early, which gave me the opportunity to observe the worship team’s practice session. The music was uplifting, filling the sanctuary with a joyful energy that was contagious.

Cara’s hospitality extended to offering me a coffee or tea in their quaint café downstairs. It was a small gesture that spoke volumes about the church’s spirit of service and welcoming attitude.

As I mingled with other congregants, each person I met was friendly and inviting. Many had personally invited me to visit, and their genuine enthusiasm about having me there was heartwarming.

Making my way back to the sanctuary, I took a moment to appreciate its stunning beauty.

I found a seat near the front, eagerly anticipating the service.

As the worship team began singing “Glorious Day,” the atmosphere electrified. The entire congregation rose to their feet, dancing, jumping, and running around the sanctuary in a vibrant expression of praise.

Despite my autoimmune flare-up challenging my mobility, I was inspired by their energy and did my best to join in the spirited worship.

The worship continued with “I Thank God,” and the energy in the room grew even more intense.

The atmosphere was electric with praise, hand clapping, feet stomping, and audible prayers, all underpinned by the presence of the Holy Spirit.

The pastors wife, part of the worship team, led us in beautiful praise, her voice a powerful instrument of worship.

A testimony shared about Charity, a member energetically dancing at the front, was particularly moving. Her story of restoration and healing was a testament to the miraculous power of God’s love and grace. It was encouraging and inspiring to hear how God had worked in her life.

The church was alive with stories of healing and restoration.

As we were encouraged to pray for ourselves and each other, I found myself deeply moved, praying for my own healing and improved mobility. Speaking with many church members, each interaction was a blessing, and their prayers for my journey were incredibly touching.

Pastor Keith Jones began his sermon with a focus on magnifying Jesus.

The scripture reading from Matthew 12:28-30 set the stage for a powerful message. His sermon, titled “The Kingdom of Power: More than Words,” underscored the church’s commitment to active faith.

Pastor Keith’s ability to blend humor with practical insights made the sermon not only enjoyable but also deeply impactful. He reminded us that without the Holy Spirit, our efforts are in vain.

The message, centered on healing and hope, felt divinely intended for me.

Pastor Keith’s words about finding joy even in challenging circumstances resonated with my soul.

In a beautiful and poignant moment, those in need of healing were invited to the altar for prayer. The pastor and his wife took the time to pray for me personally, a moment that moved me to tears and filled me with gratitude for their sincere love and prayers.

The service culminated in a collective prayer where we all held hands, praying for each other.

The authenticity and sincerity of this church community deeply touched my heart. Everyone genuinely looked out for one another, creating an atmosphere of mutual care and support.

The pastor’s wife’s personal invitation to join her for lunch soon was a gracious extension of fellowship, which I eagerly accepted.

Before leaving, Pastor Keith, his wife, and their daughter once again prayed over me for miraculous healing and strength for my journey, as well as encouraged me to reach out to them anytime.

My visit to Apostolics of Lynchburg Church was a profoundly emotional and uplifting experience.

The genuine love and authenticity of this congregation is amazing.

I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this church, where you will be greeted with enthusiastic worship and a community that truly embodies the spirit and love of Jesus.
